Mid-January to Mid-February

It’s Time to Reflect (No, not Shield Reflect)
It’s been just about two months since I started this blog, and it’s been growing in terms of regular visitors. I put Google Analytics in place around January 6, and I’ve (almost religiously) kept an eye on the growth of the site. As a side effect of having all the stats on hand, I’ve actually tried to tailor some of the posts that I’ve written according to the hits on google that I’ve been getting. For example, if you look up paladin, shaman, warrior in Google, my site (as of Feb 13, 2008) was #1 no matter which order you typed it in.
The Beginning to Now
When this site first began, it started with probably only 15 real unique visitors, but as of late, it’s bringing in about 40 unique people a day. Those are pretty pleasing numbers. In line with the growth, the google search hits to this site has gone from 15% to a pretty big 43% of all new visitors. That’s some nice growth through Google. Oddly, I’ve never done anything to actually try bringing people in, but Google’s algorithm (I guess) likes the content that I’ve been putting out.
If you’re wondering where I’m pulling these numbers from, I used Google Analytics: a great free tool that tracks all sorts of data ranging from unique visitors to what kind of browsers are used to visit the site to what kind of keywords give me the most hits (Paladin, Warrior, Shaman being my current #1). The peak unique visitors in a day was set a monthish ago with 72, and on February 13, we hit 52 visitors. The growth was somewhat eradic, but as I try to make my posts more consistent, the visitor count steadily grows.
I reckon, a thank you is in order for coming by and checking out the blog. It’s (in some ways) an ego booster to know that people are actually reading the banter that I’m typing (except this post. I bet no one is reading this.) Here’s to 100 unique a day!

Haha, to be completely honest, this is set as my homepage since I’ve found it in class.
I like it, the only WoW blog that I’ve found that is pretty much strictly pvp, especially as a newly dinged 70 Rogue looking to get into hardcore pvp, this blog helps.
Maybe you should make a guide on getting started into the pvp aspect of the game? =P

Vitamins - I hope you don’t mind that I changed your post a little. <3 you too.
imdeadkthnx - You might want to try this post: First time in Arena and Preparation. I figured it could be helpful stuff. What other classes do you play? I’ve sorta sprawled out into beyond Warrior and I’m looking to talk about other classes.

As someone who geared up a rogue at the start of this season and has played with it since I have some thoughts on the matter.
First order of business for you as a rogue: grind BGs for the 27k honor it’s gonna take to get your s1 weapons. Rogues have enough abilities that make them hard to kill that they are often not the focus target of an arena. That makes your damage output much more important that your survivabilty.
If you’re looking for arena PvP, I would get s1 maces or swords and spec hemo/sstep (this spec is the other reason you have to worry less about survivability). I personally got the s1 daggers and have been somewhat regretting it recently. People look down upon daggers specs since the inception of resilience (they feel that daggers rely too heavily on crit) and often won’t want you in their arena teams because of it.
My other piece of advise would be to spring for executioner/mongoose once you get your s1 weapons. I haven’t even done that myself as of yet, because I thought I was going to make it to 1850 long long ago and as a result have kept +7 weap damage on my daggers for months. I’m just now starting to realise that I might have to suck it up and put the money and honor in to get s1 mace/sword and the enchants. I’ve been told they’re worth it.
All that said, mutilate is quite fun and when you play it you feel like the game is screaming: “I FEEL LIKE YOU DON’T HAVE ENOUGH COMBO POINTS… TAKE MORE COMBO POINTS!”
