I'm not gonna lie, I enjoy the new spec and plan to continue using it for awhile to see how it goes. We run Priest,Warrior,Mage and the additional control I get seems to help out. I'm not really losing anything from fury, except piercing howl and less disarm time. I really wish I could figure out how to beat PRM style teams more consistently though.

I know we have heavy potential in 5s. The main issue is our scheduling. Some people play at night, some people are always on, and some people are on whenever. This really dampens a routine that we can get into and stay sharp. That being said, I'd hope we can get some sort of routine organized. The J, Obliv, Shin, Cira, Uglie setup definitely demonstrated the higher ranks are attainable. Fine tuning and more communication is what we should probably be working on most right now. I remember we lost to that one 2kish team and the main thing was that Maaran got instantly DPSed down. I'm not sure how we're gonna get around situations like that unless we figure a way to play defensively from the start or something (back to the drawing board I guess).

In regards to 3s, I've heard from Oblivions that his setup along with Scarf , a paladin, and Terranman, a warrior can reach post 2k in 3s. This gives me new hope that we can do the same. As Shin mentioned, PRM teams don't seem to be as untouchable as I once thought. In fact, I think we took 26 points and 19 points from two of those teams around the 1720s area. Balancing our heals and communicating well seem to be our weakpoints right now.

Hopefully we'll be able to improve and that and continue to move forward.

Next Week: S3 Weapon if all goes well.

I agree about getting used to the damage output. We're not quite as bursty as we used to be, but our matches always feel a little more controlled. I'm hoping we can keep up the good stuff, and push ahead past 1850 this week.

Historically last season: It took us about 10 weeks to get past 1850. Sad, eh.

I think part of the reason we were so successful tonight is due to running into four dps teams. The losses at the end came about (I think) partially due to strategy but mostly because we're used to playing a mage instead of a lock. I know one time when we had a frost mage down below 10% I kept casting rather than dispel the pally bubble because I forgot we lacked burst. At anyrate, I'll get used to it soon.
