Even Better than Cloak of Shadows

Shinsoku in Thunderbluff with Shield

GamePro Pro Tip: (Okay, it’s not really GamePro’s tip …) If you’re a warrior, and you have a shield, and you have spell reflect, and you have a /sit macro, you can reflect an infinitismal amount of spells for five seconds every ten seconds. I’ve heard through the great vine (grape vine?) that if you follow these steps, you can outdo any rogue for spell damage prevention:

1. Equip Shield.

2. Switch to Defensive Stance.

3. Activate Spell Reflect.

4. Spam your /sit macro while getting casted on.

5. Enjoy invulnerability for five seconds.

6. Do it again every 10 seconds.

While this does have limited use, the concept of it is actually pretty sweet. And to some extent, I almost feel that since rogues get something like this, Warriors could do good to have a similiar talent. Perhaps the whole spell isn’t reflected, but a part of the damage could be while Spell Reflect is up.

Expected time to hot-fix: Until 2.3.2.

Haha, wow. That’s pretty silly. I would have never thought of something like that. It reminds me of that charging in combat warriors used to be able to do. Stuffs like this are definitely interesting to see in practice. A true shame it is not permanent.

Zomg, that’s me in the background; look at that sexy staff. It’s grape vine, like in the song :)

errrric, nice site…I just started pvpin about halfway through last season :D (not enough time for raids)! Also I just played you in my 2’s team, (we lost QQ) I’m curious about your point of view as a warrior…is it a really noticeable difference of being ignored (except for fears) with your damage output or do your white hits on the shaman keep enough rage on you that I should just control your healer and kill you?

I didn’t notice your shaman’s mana shield till too late and my fel-hound gave him too much mana back >< Good game though!

    Is infinitesimal a word?

Have ya tried it in AV yet? I still need to do that, lol. GG reflecting like 20 spells O.o

Infinitesimal is a word but it means an extremely small amount. I’m pretty sure he just meant infinite.

And since we seem to be on the topic of /sit bug/exploits, healers can also utilize the /sit macro to their advantage (though its not as controversial as being immune to spells):

Take, for instance, “heal drinking.” This is the act of a healer waiting to drop combat, then casting a heal (holy light, healing touch, regrowth, healing wave, greater heal, etc) and then spamming their drink hotkey so that they begin drinking the same instant the heal lands on the target, effectively allowing them to drink as they enter combat due to server latency.
