Better Laggy Than Never

Arena PvP

Hotel connections are not reliable for PvP. I would not recommend playing melee in pvp if you’re on hotel internet. The delay time felt like I was on some kind of 56k connection (it might as well have been). That said, we pushed 4-2 for the night and brought our week record to 6-4. It’s been rough gathering people to do 5s, but we managed to get Oblivions to join us for a one-night stand (We did manage to get his approval for future 5s). Whether we bring him in again, is another question.

I’m not looking to drop our current Shaman (Crazzymike A.K.A. Jack Nicholson), but I am not opposed to running Oblivions in for a couple matches. I’ve discovered that bringing new people into our group sometimes revitalizes everyone and gets everyone a little more charged up.

The two losses we sustained, I fully feel could have been wins despite my lag. I have a lot more confidence in our 5 than last season.

Our 3s dropped over 100 points this week and we went something like 17-22. More than half the teams we played were PRM, and it was pretty rough for our combination.

This week, I’m looking to bring our 3s back up to 1700+, and hopefully get our 5s up to 1750+.

Yeah. Those matches were quite rough indeed. Essentially all of them lasted longer than they should have. For example, when we fought that one team with people not even wearing resilience gear, that was actually one of our longer fights of the night surprisingly. Having Oblivions arena with us definitely did some good in terms of comparing the shamans we have seen. Honestly, I haven’t seem that many Shamans so its hard to say what a skilled or unskilled one looked like, but he did an excellent job covering heals while I was getting CCed repeatedly.

With that said, I don’t think I was playing as well as I should have. I thought I could have done a better job with some LoSing and CD using. I’ll definitely be looking to sharpening some things for next week’s series of Arena.

The delay probably has to do with how blizzard changed GCD checks that they basically screw over melee with any lag whatsoever. And I was talking to nightwatcher and acidreflux and they also said 2 healer teams are their harder fights.

Mage’s 3’s has only really lost to a dual healer setup so far except a fluke loss.
